I have started this new thread with the hope of allowing the exchange of information for those of us who are UK citizens and resident here in Murcia. We are going to be facing a lot of uncertainty following the referendum result and my hope is that we can exchange information to help one another.

This article was posted on the Murcia Today website. Although there is no guarantee for our health care if the UK leaves the EU (it will be subject to what is negotiated), the article states that we will continue to receive health care until then.

Could you please support this government petition and circulate it to your friends and family.

Petition
On BREXIT British expatriates should retain their healthcare within the EU

As part of the Brexit negotiations the UK Government should ensure that British expatriates who were residents of other EU countries at the time of the Referendum vote, should retain their rights to healthcare in their countries of residency.

If you are living here full time please take a minute to look at this new ex-pat organisation whose aim is to protect ex-pat's rights.

This is the link to an article regarding the group.

Could you please support the following petitions regarding ex-pat's rights following ' brexit'.

They are open to any UK citizen to sign. Even if you are not currently resident in Spain, you or your family members may wish to be in the future. Supporting ex-pat's current rights will affect all our futures in Spain. One petition is for pensioner's health care rights and the other for retaining state pension increases for those living in EU countries.

Please also read my other post I made today above.

Please see below a letter asking for support for representation of expat citizens in Parliament.

This was sent to me from Expat Citizen Rights in EU (ECREU). I have their permission to post this on their behalf. This organisation is fighting for expat rights following the referendum. It is free to join and they would like your support.

You can register to join the group on their website.

Please see them at-

Web site: http://www.ecreu.com
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/expatrights

The key issue facing expat British citizens living in the EU is that many of
us have no vote, no MP, and therefore no representation in Parliament. Even
those who do have an MP sometimes find it difficult to gain his or her
support or interest.

We believe the best way to resolve this is to establish Expat Constituencies
with MPs dedicated to representing British citizens abroad ? France has 11
MPs for its expats, so why not the same for the UK?

The four Boundary Commission Committees (the bodies which review the
boundaries of parliamentary constituencies) are now in discussions preparing
a report to Parliament for early 2018 and some are producing interim
consultation papers this September.

You can help influence the process by emailing the appropriate Boundary
Commission at the links shown below.

To have any real impact, we need them to receive a few hundred emails in the
next couple of days, so even if you are already in touch with an MP, it is
still important that you send this message.

A draft letter for you to use or alter to your preference is below, or you
can download a MS Word copy from this link:

http://www.ecreu.com/pdfs/constituency-letter.doc

We are aware that the boundary commission has replied to some expats saying
this is a matter for the Cabinet Office, but we do feel this not correct. So
we would encourage you to send your email to the Cabinet Office as well as
the appropriate Boundary Commission at these addresses:

Cabinet Office
publiccorrespondence@cabinetoffice.gov.uk.

Boundary Commission England
information@boundarycommissionengland.gov.uk

Boundary Commission Scotland
secretary@scottishboundaries.gov.uk

Boundary Commission Wales
bcomm.wales@wales.gsi.gov.uk

Boundary Commission Northern Ireland
contact@boundarycommission.org.uk

Dear Sir,

I am a UK citizen who has chosen to live with my family in the EU. Along
with thousands of similar expats, I am very concerned for my future
following any decision to invoke Article 50.

But the most serious issue facing us is that we have no proper
representation in our own Parliament. If we have lived abroad for less than
15 years, we can register to vote, but we know from experience that a
handful of expats in any large constituency is hardly likely to grab the
attention of the local MP.

Many UK citizens who have lived abroad for more than 15 years have no vote
or representation despite still paying taxes in the UK because they spent
their working lives in the Civil Service, NHS, Police or in education.

Na h-Eileanan an Iar in Scotland has just 21,000 voters and is the smallest
constituency in the UK. So with an estimated 1.2 million British citizens
living in the EU and some 250,000 already registered to vote, I would
suggest that there is a compelling argument for establishing constituencies
for overseas voters.

France already has 11 MPs for its expats. I would appeal to the Government
to urgently establish new Constituencies for UK Citizens living abroad.

I supported the original crowdfund for brexitjustice. The founder of brexitjustice needs some support to keep going. Please click link.

Any funds that he receives over and above his target will go towards the brexitjustice campaign.

I just read what this guy is on about. What an idiot that man is. Taking the pro-brexit politicians to court for lying to the public. Maybe I should set up a crowd funding page for someone to pay me at ?30k+ salary to take all the doomongering the country will go bust, we will need to raise taxes, budget the day after, financial apocalypse politicians to court for lying as well.

I want to have a second vote on all of the last 20 general elections in the UK, they have all lied and cheated to get us to vote for them! Hold on I voted in a democratic country, in a democratic vote knowing very well that politicians lie through their teeth and I voted for what I thought was good for me, now it seems over half the voting public also did that so its game over ..Stay vote lost in a democratic vote.
No matter what young uni grad thinks about it he has wasted his time and your money.
Anyway until the PM ( the old one jumped ship as he realised his dream of being a get rick quick commissioner in Brussels had fallen apart) presses the the magic button then we are still part of this corrupt mess that is the EU.
Might suggest you apply for Spanish citizenship if your long term plan is to stay in Spain?

Marcus hit his target in just 10 days with over 1100 backers. The campaign will run until 20th October and any more contributions will go to the main brexitjustice fund.

At least we have a idea of what time scale we are looking at, I very much doubt if the PM
would say Brexit Means Brexit unless she meant it.
No U turns so be interesting to see where that guy collecting cash off the public goes from here! Just got get best deal we can because for sure the Tories or any other party and no stage had a plan B !
Looks like many will be saying Adios to their time in the sun and hello to cold cloudy damp UK.
