Were you aware that even if your property is empty with the electricity turned off a "Power/Capacity charge" is calculated according to this formula?:

Capacity invoiced (5.5 kW) x Number of days x Price

The Spanish energy market states that, anytime there is a meter installed, even if there is no consumption at all, customers will always be charged (according to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism) for: Power charge, Renting of equipment, Electricity Tax and VAT (Spanish tax, 21% of the total amount of the invoice).
