I have guests who want to go to Barcelona for a few days by train or coach in July. Does anyone have any tips?
At the moment we're looking at Murcia-Madrid by train but there only seems to be one per day on the renfe website which seems a bit strange. Would we be better looking at Alicante - Barcelona.
Thanks for any advice?

There is a direct train to Barcelona from Balsicas. One per day each way I think. But it takes about 7.5 hours as it is a long way and a fairly slow line. It is though easy and civilised - I have tried it. You should find it on the RENFE site.

That is fantastic, thank you so much. I would never have found that route by myself. What a great forum this is!
