Walking round the complex the other day I noticed on of the top floor apartments has had a number of solar panels fitted, obviously with the cost of electricity, mainly for water heating and AC/Heating, obviously quite high on an occupied property, this is a great idea, however I have a couple of questions:

Are we ok to have solar panels fitted in the first place?

does anyone know of any installers for a quote etc?

I know I could read through the rules and regulations but I do not have a copy here in Spain.

On another note there are also a number of ground floor apartments that have painted their exterior walls white! Surely that's not allowed??

Cheers

Paul

Hi paulpark123,

We used the following company to fit 12 solar panels on our villa on the El Valle Golf Resort:

Sunlife Solar Solutions
Part of Sunlife SL
La Campana CC, Punta Prima
Orihuela Costa,03189
Tel. 00 34 965 27 17 17
info@sunlifesolarsolutions.com

Ask for Scott, and mention they installed on Ambar street at the El Valle Golf Resort. Agree electricity is extortionately priced in Spain hence the reason why we went solar. Our bills have come down significantly about ?50/month, which is mainly hook-up costs to the mains

If you go on our map page, you can click on it and see the solar panels (http://www.elvallegolfresort.net/el-valle-golf-resort-location-mar-menor/)

Hope that helps
